What Bite5 Is

Bite5 is an early-stage dietary-intent food map and restaurant listing service. The service helps people discover restaurants and food options based on signals such as halal, low-sugar, vegan, gluten-free, and high-protein or clean-eating intent.

The product is in beta. Features, listings, availability, cities, categories, and verification methods may change.

No Medical, Nutrition, Allergy, or Religious Guarantee

Bite5 listings are informational only. They are not medical advice, nutrition advice, allergy advice, religious authority, or a substitute for checking directly with the restaurant.

Restaurants can change menus, ingredients, suppliers, preparation methods, and kitchen procedures without notice. Cross-contact can happen. Always confirm current details directly with the restaurant before ordering or eating.

Restaurant Listings

• A listing does not mean the restaurant sponsors, endorses, or is affiliated with Bite5 unless we clearly say so.
• Listing data may come from public sources, community submissions, restaurant submissions, or Bite5 review.
• Dietary tags must be read with their verification status and notes. Unverified or community-lead signals are not guarantees.
• Restaurants may request corrections, claim a listing, or ask us to remove non-essential listing content by emailing hello@bite5.com.

Your Submissions

If you submit a restaurant, claim request, correction, note, photo, logo, menu information, or other content, you represent that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the rights or authority needed to submit it.

You grant ZalaStack Inc. a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, use, reproduce, edit, publish, display, and distribute your submitted content for Bite5 operations, listings, marketing, and product improvement. You remain responsible for your submissions.

Acceptable Use

• Do not submit false, misleading, defamatory, unlawful, infringing, confidential, or unauthorized content.
• Do not scrape, bulk copy, overload, probe, reverse engineer, bypass controls, or interfere with Bite5 or its providers.
• Do not use Bite5 to send spam, impersonate another person or business, misrepresent ownership of a restaurant, or violate privacy, intellectual-property, consumer-protection, food-safety, anti-spam, or advertising laws.

Communications

If you submit your email address or contact us, we may send messages related to your request, early access, restaurant submissions, claim requests, product updates, and Bite5 operations. You may opt out of non-essential commercial messages at any time.

Accounts, Payments, and Paid Listings

Bite5 does not currently offer public accounts, paid restaurant listings, payments, subscriptions, or restaurant dashboards. Additional terms may apply before those features launch.

Intellectual Property

Bite5, the Bite5 site design, product copy, original listing structure, software, and related materials are owned by ZalaStack Inc. or its licensors. Restaurant names, marks, logos, photos, menu text, and third-party content remain owned by their respective owners.

You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse protected Bite5 content except as allowed by law or with our written permission.

Third-Party Services and Links

Bite5 may display maps, links, restaurant websites, social profiles, ordering links, email links, and other third-party content or services. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, policies, or practices.

Disclaimer

Bite5 is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the maximum extent allowed by law, ZalaStack Inc. disclaims warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted operation.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, ZalaStack Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, punitive, or lost-profit damages arising from or related to Bite5. Our total liability for any claim related to Bite5 will not exceed CAD 100 or the amount you paid us for the service giving rise to the claim, whichever is greater.

Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ZalaStack Inc. from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of Bite5, your submissions, your violation of these terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Courts located in Alberta will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where applicable law requires another forum.

Changes

We may update these terms as Bite5 changes. The effective date will show when the current version started applying. Continuing to use Bite5 after changes means you accept the updated terms.
